10 Reasons You Should Finish Your Book
My debut novel is rounding the last bend toward completion, and I am committed to finishing my book. I am also overwhelmed, terrified, exhausted, and constantly second-guessing my decisions. And guess what? This is normal.
Here are 10 reasons I will finish this book, and why you should finish yours too.
Your Book Matters
A book is a device to ignite the imagination. – Alan Bennett
Books were my pass to personal freedom. – Oprah Winfrey
Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything. – Plato
Only You Can Tell Write Your Book
Books are a uniquely portable magic. – Stephen King
Books and doors are the same thing. You open them, and you go through into another world. – Jeanette Winterson
A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading. – William Styron

Books Change Hearts

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet or excite you. Books help us understand who we are and how we are to behave. They show us what community and friendship mean; they show us how to live and die. – Anne Lamott
Books may well be the only true magic. – Alice Hoffman
I hope these quotes and images inspire you to finish your book. How do you find the motivation to finish your books?
